Since I went to the ministry & followed the Lord's direction in my life at the same time the devil never stop accusing me of so many things. But thank God for His powerful Word because I know where "my confidence comes from." I don't intend to write this entry to justify myself but I am writing this one to proclaim my victory in Christ Jesus.
One lady in the church told me one time, she asked someone if given a chance what position in the church she desires to have and the woman answered back, "I want Sister Neng's position."
I am sure a lot of people sees my position today as a great place. Yes, I admit that, it is a great place of influence. But it is more than that, it is also a place of great responsibility, accountability and discipline. The Bible tells us that "much is given, much is required."
Pastor Rick Isidro is one of my dearest mentor who taught me how to stay in the ministry with pure motives. Early on, I've learned that "if you want to be great in the kingdom of God you must be the servant to all." So if you ask me today to describe my position in the church, I am a servant to all. I really don't mind serving my church leaders & submitting to them completely. The bible encourages us to "do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus."
I don't need to promote myself because I KNOW THE PRINCIPLES OF GOD. I am not fool to used people to reached and achieved my goals....yak...yak...yak...
God is so faithful. In those days when my accusers are causing me too much trouble, the Lord instructed me to stay cool and keep my mouth shut. Instead of retaliating and make my stubborn flesh rule, I was shouting "flesh you are fired." The Word says, bless those who curse you, do good to them that hates you. I give the Love of God total rule in my life. As a result, I am still standing tall declaring the beautiful news of the Lord Jesus Christ. Glory to God.
Promotion does come from the Lord. In the kingdom of God, Godly character is the number one requirement to stay long in the ministry. I know I am not yet perfect that is why I allow my mind to be renewed day by day through the Word of God. I know I need the wise counsel of the Word to stay fresh and to have an uncontaminated faith. "The road to success is always under construction."
To be a good leader is to be a good follower. Everyone wants to be a good leader but the question is, are they good in following instructions? Everyone wants to be promoted but again the question is, are they promoting somebody?
Take this advice. Do not despised the anointing or offices of certain leaders because if you do that, you can't have that same anointing that is flowing rich in their lives. If you want to have that same anointing then tap yourself, sow your best seeds, be the best follower and learn how they do things.
Lastly, leadership is not merely a position but it is an influence. Ask yourself with this question. If all the people of the world is exactly like you, do we have Godly people with Godly character?
