towards an excellent 2007...

It was called a VISION Meeting.

Earlier today, our church's worship team had its first meeting for the year 2007. A lot of things were clarified, discussed, and reiterated.. and it was a great way to push off the year and get everyone refreshed, revived, and even more committed. But one thing stuck to my mind and my heart: EXCELLENCE.

Ate Neng, Kuya Lowe, and Kuya Bing, each in their own way and words, all stressed three things: spiritual, technical, and musical excellence. To sum it all up, it simply means that in every single aspect of this ministry, our God deserves nothing less than the best. And that EXCELLENCE is the responsibility of every single one of us. That includes me. And as we all do the ministry together, we can accomplish great things for the Kingdom of God. That's the word. TOGETHER. United. As one. LOVE NEVER EVER FAILS!

This is not the time to be complacent. On the contrary, this is the time to be more committed to excellence than ever. We cannot just sit back and rest on the laurels of the past. No! Praise God for all that He has done, and we can always look back on His faithfulness, but we must also remember that whatever happened in the past year is already in the past. We can look forward to so much more in the coming days! I mean, c'mon, it's the year of the OPEN DOOR!

There's so much more to learn.. we've barely even scratched the surface. Think about it.. our God is a limitless God. This is not the time to lift our noses high up in the air and say, "That's it. I'm already there." No way! There is definitely no limit to how much we can learn and grow in the Lord. All we have to do is be teachable. Be humble. Acknowledge the fact that you do not know everything. Then learn from one another. And as the day of Jesus Christ comes nearer, the Church is going to be more and more glorious, shining brighter than the sun in this world that's filled with darkness. He can do exceedingly, abundantly, far above all that you can ever ask or think.I am not going to allow myself to dry out.

There is such a great pool of the anointing within this group of wonderful people, and no way will let this opportunity to tap into that pass me by. I am a significant part of this ministry. And never again will I allow any lie from the devil to get me thinking otherwise. No more childish thoughts or selfish whims. It's all about JESUS!

Just think about this:Today, I am one day closer to hearing my Jesus say, "Well done, my good and faithful servant..."That, hands down, would definitely be music to my ears.

ALL GLORY TO GOD AND TO HIM ALONE!
